As a 'Fresh' artist for 12ø's 'Fresh n Frozen', she plans to create individual small scale installations that are specific to the space in which they were made, their 'archaeology' framing them in a particular time and place.

Jess Young

  • ttempting a sculptural confluence of the pristine materiality of digital art objects with the palpable damage of the physical world, Jess Young endeavours to realise the synergy the two spheres have, opposed to rivalry, especially when faced with degradation and decay. Her most recent practice questions the process of potential for 'carbon dating' her materials, and how to extract their own archaeologies, extending this to her digital practice also.
